first bowl
Marco went to Brazil for the first time with surfing on his mind. His first morning brought something else: an Acai bowl in a cup at a little beach kiosk.
Banana and granola on top, the sea right in front of him. He went back every morning after that, and the kiosk soon became part of the trip.
at the counter
Each morning, Marco lingered a little longer at the wooden counter after his bowl. He started asking the owner how he got the Acai so creamy every time.
The owner showed him the frozen pulp, then let him watch as he blended it. As he added the toppings, he talked Marco through which ones worked well together.
acai palms
High in the palms of the Amazon region, dark purple Acai berries grow in tightly packed clusters. The berries stay fresh only briefly, so their pulp is processed and frozen after the harvest.
That is how it travels from Brazil all the way to Frankfurt. In Brazil, Marco learned that this pulp is what makes a base creamy rather than watery.
back home
Back in Frankfurt, Marco missed those bowls by the beach. The ones here tasted different, so he ordered frozen pulp from Brazil and spent months in his kitchen trying to get it right.
Once it tasted like the bowl at the kiosk, he opened Brazilian Acai. You can try it at our shop today, with whichever toppings you feel like adding.
